arctophile: one who loves teddy bears

Ok, I admit it: I am an arctophile. Always have been. Used to collect bears but less so these days. Although I will cop to harboring a soft spot for pandas.

Such a strange word, isn't it? Arctophile sounds like someone who loves the Arctic or something. Apparently it originates with the Greek word for bear, arctos.
