PILCROW

pilcrow: the symbol used to mark the start of a new paragraph
The pilcrow is usually seen as ¶, similar to a backwards capital P. But it can also be used facing the other direction, ⁋, where sometimes it indicates a paragraph is meant to be read from right to left.
The pilcrow was used in writing before the advent of separated paragraphs as we know them today. Unnecessary for general reading now, it's still used in editing and coding.
